Provision treatment for lymphoedema. This can include manual lymphatic drainage, prescription of medical compression garments, compression bandaging and advice on exercise and skin care. Client and family education is included, with referrals to support agencies where necessary. Equipment PrescriptionService to enhance people’s independence in completing daily tasks in a safe manner. This service will assist with recommendations of equipment and completing applications to relevant organisations where necessary. Occupational RehabilitationProvision of assessment and intervention to enable an injured worker to return to occupational tasks in an appropriate work setting. This can include worksite assessments and suitable duties plans, where necessary. SeatingProvision of advice and modification of seating equipment for use in wheelchairs, commodes or other adaptive seating options. Occupational Therapy treatment Occupational Therapy treatment has a strong education component to teach clients and carers how to best manage their conditions. Occupational Therapy SubsidiesRPPR Occupational Therapy is covered for eligible DVA and Workcover clients. It is partly subsidised by most health care funds. If you have a chronic condition you may be eligible for a treatment subsidy through Medicare. This is called an Enhanced Primary Care Plan and needs to be arranged through your GP.
